Copy Error Messages Text In Windows

This post belongs to the “I’m surprised I didn’t know this before” section of this blog. It turns out that in Windows (starting Windows 2000) you can copy error messages text to the clipboard (for later pasting into another window) simply by using the well-known Ctrl-C shortcut.
